What to include

  • What happened, and what you expected to happen.
  • The name of the face, if it is about a face.
  • Your iPhone model and iOS version, and your watch model and watchOS version.
  • A screenshot, if you can.

In the app, Settings → Contact us writes the email for you. It can add the app and iOS versions and whether WatchPaper is on your watch. It never adds your health data.

Questions and answers

How do I add a face?

Open a face in WatchPaper and tap the Add button under it. Apple shows the face; tap Add, and it is on your watch in a few seconds.

The face says Off or shows no numbers

Stats faces need the WatchPaper app on your watch, and it has to be there before you add the face. It installs with the iPhone app. If it is missing, open the Watch app on your iPhone: My Watch → scroll to WatchPaper → Install.

Then open WatchPaper on your watch once, allow Health and Location, and add the face again. Photo faces work without the watch app.

How do I turn on Health?

Stats faces show your steps, heart rate, active calories, distance and stand hours from Health. To turn them on or off, on your iPhone go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → WatchPaper.

Why are my numbers not updating?

Your numbers update through the day, about every 15 minutes. Open WatchPaper on your watch to update them now.

Which watches work?

Apple Watch Series 4 or newer, with watchOS 10 or later. Big Numbers faces need Apple Watch Series 7 or newer, or Apple Watch Ultra. If a face is not available on your watch, WatchPaper tells you and nothing is added.

What is the difference between Photo and Stats?

Photo faces are a picture with the time and the weather. Stats faces show your steps, heart rate and battery, updated through the day.

Can I use a face on more than one watch?

Yes. Faces go to the watch that is active in the Watch app. Switch to your other watch there, then add the face again.

How do I get Premium back?

In WatchPaper, go to Settings → Restore Purchase, signed in with the Apple Account you paid with. Premium comes back on every iPhone, free.

How do I ask for a refund?

Apple handles payments and refunds. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
